96 Dodge ram 2500 transmission

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Truck will go into reverse but no forward gears
checked the fluid's noticed it was low. still same
thing is happening I go from park to reverse and
into nuetral have good pressure.. drop into drive,
1st ,2nd drive and nothing no pressure feels like it's
not engageing into gears.. help

Friend recommend doing transmission flush to look at the pan first...

I would not flush it but dropping the pan is a good idea. Did it work properly After adding the 2.5 quarts?

Yea it worked fine drove it around the block backed into my driveway shut it off.. went out a couple hours later to take it to the store went to take off coasted out of my driveway way reving at like 2500 rpms.. it also did that the first time after I put the 2.5 quarts in it. ??
