on a frontal impact the airbag should go off at that speed. are the sensors connected? what about fuses? has the truck bee in an accident before and not had the airbags replaced? do you have any aftermarket accessories on the front end? most are designed to work with airbags, but sometimes homemade front end accessories will interfere.

With the advanced Air Bag systems, the computer can determine when the Air Bag is needed by the G-force generated by the impact. Do you want the bags to go off and cost an extra $1000 in repairs? If the Air Bag light on the dash comes on when you start it, then goes off and stays off then your system is fine.
