How do I get the max mpg in my 2006 Dodge Megacab Hemi Gas not diesel?

Im only getting 9.6 mpg is there anything I
can do to my truck to improve it?

You can put a K & air filter on and you will get a little better but not too much. I own a 2006 mega cab also and they just don't get the best gas mileage.

Mine is gas also, I average around 12 mpg. It is not great, especially if you are in town.

At least your getting 12.. I have a nice intake type filter and only getting 9.6 im all city too.. rarely on the freeway.. Dammit..

Best in advice is to take off slowly and not be punching it...The easier you drive it the better mpg you will get....lol

Just an air filter won't do anything first off. If you put a cold air intake along with a good cat back exhaust system you'll see some better numbers, I have a 2012 and got about 11mpg before and now i am getting 13-14mpg they do help

If you weigh it out - would the exhaust system and the Cold air intake justify the gas savings? There's also the option of a splitter (over and under gear box) but really, if you want fuel mileage buy a small car.
