06' Dodge Ram 1500 4.7
My number 1 cylinder has no compression and is
leaking into the manifold. The truck runs very
rough and will not go above 10-20 mph. If you floor
the gas it chokes itself out as well of u go up a hill
it chokes itself out. What could be the issue?
Burnt valve, hole in a piston or maybe a bad head gasket.
If it is blowing gasses back into the intake it won't run good at any time, the 4.7 is a very finicky engine, everything has to be just right for it too run well, so you kinda stuck with fixing it or replacing the engine. It is only going to get worse.
Burned intake valve is much more rare than a burned exhaust valve. I am going to say it is a dropped or otherwise bad valve seat or broken intake valve spring.
