Surging in reverse

2005 Ram drives perfect in drive shifts
great but in reverse when I give it gas it
revs up when I give it gas and then acts
like it is going to die but then it reves back
up. I don't have a clue in this one. If it was
the tranny then why does the engine do
this.

from wcoulb be 2 things. what were the code when read? you did have them read...because could be 25 different things...hat you say/

I can do that but it will be tomorrow. I never thought of doing that maybe it will throw a code.
