Is the TPS switch adjustable on your vehicle some of them are ? Also try removing positive battery terminal for 10 seconds then reinstall that may reset the computer.

Thanks for the responses. I tried removing the positive battery cable and it still does the still idles high so I think it may be something else that is wrong.

You may want to check your PVC hose for cracks or splits, especially where it connects to the intake manifold. On my 2004 ram 4.7 liter, the PVC connects at the oil filler cap, and to the intake manifold behind and below the carburetor, and it's a job getting to the fitting due to its location between the firewall and the back of the motor. When it's broken, the idle speed will generally run at near 1500 RPM.

Ok, after checking and/or replacing TPS, IAC, O2 sensors, EGR, PVC, I found the issue. The PVC vacuum line has a 90 deg boot on PVC valve a ABS plastic line, but the 90 deg 5/8 rubber boot that goes on too the back of the intake manifold (u can only see it underneath above on trans bellhousing). It dry rots and it a pain to change, long arms and small hands. I so happy to have solved this mystery after months of troubleshooting.
