My 04 dodge ram 1500 hemi sport overheated and shut off while on the freeway. After checking everything out I began filling the radiator, a bit later there was water pouring out the exhaust pipe. Why?

If you are loosing coolant out the tail pipe, and ran hot,you have a blowed head gasket and possible head damage, could have been caused by bad water pump,or thermostat sticking.

Next step rebuild your head,s,and replace head gasket, all so put new water pump and thermostat in it,go have the compression checked on it and it will show you have this problem.
