i think i may have hooked up the hose to brake and hose to cruse control

cruise control is usually a cable that moves the throttle plate via an electric motor, i dont think the cruise control uses any hoses.

If the hoses you're referring to are the power brake vacuum source and the cruise control solenoid vacuum supply hose, then if the hoses are the same size there will be no problem unless your cruise control is going wide open all the time. If that's the case, just switch the two. There is no brake fluid connection to the cruise control.
