Tapping noise from motor I have oil in it now
before it was low the tapping noise is still there if I
change the oil from a lower weight to a higher
weight will the tapping noise stop.

So if I change the weight of the oil would it eventually stop and I thought rod noise is real loud with the service soon or check engine light on

Do you hear rod noise or tappet noise? Heavy oil will not fix either problem. If you ran the engine out of oil you damaged something!
