my 2001 dodge 1500 4x4 5.9L jerks at 55mph

Asked by Galloper_1236 Feb 03, 2017 at 09:07 PM about the 2001 Dodge RAM 1500 SLT Club Cab RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The rear-end is making a whining noise. And I just had a used transmission
installed. When I got up to 50-55mph there was a hard jerk. I slowed down and
speed up to 55 and it did it again.

1 Answer

The jerking may be the trans but the whining may be from bad bearings in the differential.
