Whats wrong if when I start the truck it will not stay started unless you hold the gas down at all times

It turns over to start but
have to stay on the gas at all
times

I had this problem.It turned out to be the battery.Even thou it would start truck the amperage was fluctuating.My fuel pump was not working at it preferred rating so i changed it also.Try the battery first alot cheaper.Then if that does not do it i would have the fuel pump checked out.
