Wont shift out of first gear

My 2000 dodge ram 4x4 off road 1500 is not
shifting out of first gear. When i slow down it slips
then wont shift unless you put it in nuetral. What
wrong

sounds like a shift sylenoid i would run a scan tool on it to be sure
