2000 Dodge Ram 5.9(360) running rough

Have a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 2wd with 5.9(360). Replaced within the last 100 miles
Cap, Rotor, Coil, Plugs, Wires, TPS, MAP and IAC. Trucks feels like its misfiring from
time to time and hesitation in the throttle. It backfires occasionally. Fuel pressure sits
at 50 psi while idling. If I start it and let it just idle after a couple minutes it will start
sucking lots of air like its starving and the engine dies out sometime, other times it
picks itself back up to normal and its fine. When it does the sucking and dying part it
still holds 50 psi for fuel pressure. I'm at a loss on what to do next, any ideas?

i have the same probs. i have been working on cars and big trucks for 45 years . and have 3# dodges 2 trucks and a durango. and at one time or athere thy all do it . ok. the 5.9 vibrationdampener rubber come loss the outer ring f---up your timeing .i have had that 2 times . your PRV on the top of you fuel pump gos bad after 175000miles i myself have replaced map/plugs /roter&cap&temp/icv/dryroted hoses//tps on carb and ecm.???NOW DROP YOUR TANK REPS FUEL PUMP IThas PRV ontop of it . my dampener was rubing the block. and only a1/3 of it was left. hope.this will help dodge is no help after $1000.00 of dollers down the tube.

from bothione well i replaceed the fuel pump yes the prv was bad i to had 50psi fuel but the needle was just shack and win i push the button to let fuel out it stayed at 50psi that how you know that your prv is bad ....//// newfuel pump 50psi push button to let out fuel psi drop to 25psi evry time . car runing alot nicer but still not at 100% but run a hell of alot better.
