Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ok so yesterday I was going up my uncles hill and i stepped on the gas to
get moving up the hill at a decent speed but my trucks rpms shot up high
and sounded like the truck was having difficulties shifting but i took it
around the block today (slowly) and it seemed to shift fine just with a little
lag in between the shift points so i stepped on the gas to see if it would shift
it self but to no luck the Rpms skyrocked any one have any Ideas ?

Check transmission fluid level. May want to change transmission fluid and filter.

Could also be the fuel. With the change in seasons the "winter blend" of fuel is out which does not need to be refined as much as others. If your truck has high mileage switching to higher octane fuel or adding octane booster might help.It helped my 97 Dodge ram.
