Dodge Ram transmission problem

Drove truck when it was one and a half quart low
of transmission fluid truck got where it would not
shift added fluid now it's better but slow to shift
out of first

One possibility is sometimes the contaminates in old fluid actually help clutches to work better. By your adding so much NEW fluid you may have actually created a little less effectiveness in an already wearing out trans. As contaminates flow thru again it may get better, just wait and see is my suggestion. Hope that helps my friend!

Try adding some Lucas Transmission Stop Slip no promises but it worked for me when I had a similar shifting problem. Do not over fill remove some fluid if necessary.
