My 97 ram 1500 slt is bogging down, when given gas. Idling fine but when given gas bogs down as if not getting gas.. Plz help me with this my first truck wanna keep it

Could be fuel pump,check fuel pressure to confirm this,and if truck is skipping,may need to change plug,s and wire,s,if not skipping,check that fuel pump.

Also my filler neck is cut could this be a problem?

yes could be,has to biuld pressure up,to pump right.

You are getting misfire probably cause of low fuel pressure.

In mine the CAT was bad. Would not run at all above 1000 rpm. MAJOR BOGG. To check it is easy, pull out the front o2 sensor B1 so the hole is open to relieve pressure. Mine fired up no problem and no bogging at all.
