driveshaft replacement

Asked by dodgeem101 Feb 17, 2015 at 07:26 PM about the 1996 Dodge RAM 1500 WS RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500, 5.9L engine, 46RE automatic transmission, 2 wheel drive, standard cab with 8 foot bed, and with a 135 inch wheelbase. The, one piece aluminum, driveshaft blew apart. Can anyone tell me the length of the driveshaft from front weld to rear weld? This would help in finding the correct driveshaft.

I don't have that answer but it's a very common item and should beable to get one from your local salvage yard
