ok i have a question i have a 96 dodge ram 1500 4x4 5.2l gas and i was
wondering if the transmission out of a 97 dodge 5.9 diesel will fit in my 96 are
the transmission the same

Dodge has numerous trannys in their trucks,,,and are very,very specific. The electronics from one replacement to another needs to go with it as well(to prevent shifting issues as well as burning up the trans.). If you can get the trans.numbers from both and contact a parts rep. with them it might be helpful.
