Asked by Calvin Sep 04, 2018 at 06:41 AM about the 1996 Dodge RAM 1500 Laramie SLT Club Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently rebuilt the 46re
valve body put it back
together so I  thought.
Started truck engine was
running fine but no reverse.
Then I  remembered I hadn't
plugged in the transmission
plug. Engine was off but
ignition was on when I
plugged it in. Heard a bunch
of clicking now truck cranks
but no start. Any help would
be appreciated.

I have checked all the fuses in the cab and under hood and all are good

Older vehicles used to have "fusible links" in which, essentially, a wire would melt if presented with reverse polarity or over-current. Are there any of these present in your vehicle?
