Truck starts and runs fine and than GEN light comes on and Battery gauge rises,

96 Dodge ram 1500 5.9. After the GEN light turns on ill pull over and shut the truck off
and try to restart  it and it wont even turn over like if i lost all power. But the radio does
turn on. I tested the voltage on the battery and alternator and they both are good. I need
help finding the problem.

take the alternator and the battery out and have a shop check it,,takes more than just a multi meter sometimes. good luck

Check the 140A fuse in your fuse box with the red and black battery wires running to it. That fuse link runs your charging system.
