Speaker wire confusion

Asked by samanthangel81 Oct 17, 2009 at 04:43 AM about the 1996 Dodge RAM 1500 Laramie SLT Club Cab LB RWD

Question type: Car Customization

Im trying to install a stereo in my truck, and there are so many wires i dont reconize such as a pink or 2 blues and not a single wire had anything in common (stripe and color matching). There was no stereo but the speakers look factory and the wires that go to one speaker dont work together and 3 wires have to be plugged in for 1 speaker to work, none of which go to the speaker thats working at that time. Any ideas or suggestions???? please

I would suggest that you should find an hot wire that is control by the ignition, and just run your own speaker wire.I do it all the time.To avoid the headache.
