Will a 96 ram 1500 with a 318 v8  pull a 28 foot
fifth wheel trailer

It'a all about how much weight. I have a '96 Ram 1500/318. It's not so much the goin', it's the stoppin'. I towed between 3-4 tons with mine (no towing package). The rear springs, differential, tranny...brakes...all will play into that decision. Lots to think about. I've owned ol' blue since she was new n she's got lotsa miles, both easy and hard, they're great trucks. BTW, no problem with the engine, mines always had plenty of power to do the job I needed done.
