1995 Dodge Ram 1500 sensor/transducer replacement

Asked by Jesse Oct 04, 2016 at 04:45 PM about the 1995 Dodge RAM 1500 Laramie SLT Club Cab LB 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1995 Dodge Ram 1500 that I think needs the sensor and solenoid
replaced. After getting the piece with the sensor and solenoid off I found out
that the sensor I ordered was different than the one I need to replace and the
sensor I'm replacing is machined in. Would it be better to go to a junk yard
and try to buy a used piece without the sensor? Or get it cut off the old one?

I'm sorry I found out I ordered an output speed sensor. How to I replace the governor pressure sensor since it is machined in?

Update: I've replaced the solenoid and pressure sensor but didn't fix my problem. Replacing the output speed sensor fixed the problem with not shifting but didn't fix the speedometer. No abs/check engine light etc are on. What next?
