squeeking sound

my 2001 chevy malibu is making a squeeking sound in the left front side around the tire., had the car inspected in July the left front brake was 4 B. any ideas?  it will do it and then stop doing it. and then it will do it again and if I stop. it stops making the sound. but as soon as I go again it comes back.?

Almost sounds like a brake wear indicator is rubbing the brake rotor. I would remove the wheel and check the brake pad for condition and foreign material such as a small rock.
