dodge 440 carb pops and wont idle has a holley double pump i don't know the exact model carb.

I hope you got a big enough carb for a 440, they really like fuel and if it is too small you will get this pop back. Anyway the site plugs on the sides of the bowls are for setting fuel level, remove plugs and fuel should just trickle out, if not adjust float level until it does, I think your problem is it is too lean for the engine, you may have to rejet, make sure the accelerator pump is set to where it gives a squirt of fuel if the throttle is even slightly moved, did you get the Holley that had the blow out proof power valve, if not you might want to purchase one and put it in.
