My friend has a car she wants to sell. Im thinking
about buying it. But there is a problem. It is a 2001
chevy Lumina and the transmission went out. She
wants $500 for it. It is in fair condition. It would be
a great starter car for me as a single mom. How
easy is the fix? Is it going to cost a lot to fix it?

Price the repair at a reputable transmission shop. How many miles on the car?
