MAF sensor code on 2004 S10

My SES light came on and I had it checked at Autozone and found that MAF was the only code shown at only one instance. I replaced the MAF as well as the air filter (needed it) then pulled the battery cable to turn off the SES light. Since then, the SES light keeps coming back. I've checked it with Autozone a few more times and it's only the MAF code. With replacing the MAF and the air filter, what else is there to do? Or is it possible that the stored the code wants to be wiped by the dealer instead of pulling the battery terminal? Truck appears to run fine otherwise.

Alot of maf codes are vacuum leaks. Check also for any opening letting air into the intake after the maf on please plenum. Are all hose clamps tight? Rips or tears in the rubber? Is the plenum seated good on top of the throttle body? Look for any other vacuum leaks. It can also be a wiring issue, if I could see what the maf was reading that would make it 100 times easier

Thanks tennisshoes and Andrew for replying. Turns out that when I had replaced the MAF sensor, I still had about a turn and 1/4 of the back clamp. It apparently was just enough to allow enough air in/out to affect the vaccuum. It's funny, I was always taught not to overtighten and it seems that bit me in the ass. lol... thanks again.
