perhaps the PCV is choked off with oil smoke...the pressure which should have gone into the intake plenum has no where to go except the nearest convenient place...out the oil jacket and thru the gaskets~--------- https://www.google.com/#q=2002+Chevrolet+S-10+PCV+valve

Judge Roy's advice is probably the strongest but here is what I did for the same problem I had with my 97 s-10. I added a bottle of Oil Stop Leak and Seals Repair for about 5$ and it did the trick.. But my truck was just dripping oil at about a drop every 20 minutes.. It won't hurt to change out the PCV like he said and DON'T get ripped off! Let us know if this helps, ok?

I agree Roy, and if you can't seem to find him, just pop the trunk of the car he worked on last! lol !
