Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2000 S-10 V -6 all stock.238416 miles.
Sitting stopped in gear will see RPM,s drop and feel engine miss.
Not all  the time . May-be once or twice while sitting at a regular stop light.
Heads have been replaced with rebuild ones.
No codes stored so it's not a random miss fire that the OBD 2 can detect.

Tennisshoes is right on. My first guess was the injection unit. Have someone pull and test the injectors, and the pressure coming through the railing to the injectors. When was the gas line filters changed? run some engine fuel treatment through the gas tank and see if that is a temp fix. If you have an injector starting to fail, the cleaning will not save it. In all reality, if your fuel system is dirty, it needs to be removed and have a good professional cleaning done along with a system wide test. I did this with my Ponti8ac, 120,000 miles and it cleared up a lot of suspect issues. Great to see someone else enjoys keeping a vehicle a long time. We keep our cars until we have to pay the dealer to take it in on trade-in.
