Starter keeps spinning after release

IM at wits end,  I have replaced starter switch wire
harness,new starter I have shimmed ,I have
checked all wiring ,swapped out starter relay. Even
board new key

and cylinder, return because did not fix,please
help!!!

See the field terminal in diagram, it has that green covering, when you let go of key, see if there is voltage, use a test light. If no voltage, then the problem is mechanical, for some reason, the starter drive gear is hung up on the flywheel. The starter solenoid s terminal should not be hot when key is released. Use a test light. That S terminal is smaller terminal not bat terminal. I don't know what testing you have done? I did see what you replaced. Any testing at starter motor make sure tranny is in park or neutral and parking brake is set.

Ok will try . This seems to be only happening when truck is up to temp. Intermittent
