S10 engine swap

I'm putting a v8 my 1999 S10 . It's has a five
speed manual transmission. The engine is a
2.2 will I need to change the transmission.
And if so will a t5 work.

First off, V8 swapping an S10 is not worth it (I did it too) and you will have to buy a new trans if you don't wanna completly destroy your 5 speed. I went with an AISIN 6 spd and thats the only one I found that could fit. Mind you I swapped a 305 in a 88 S10
