1999 2.2 s10 losing all power to engine

Asked by 99Sten Apr 25, 2017 at 06:41 AM about the 1999 Chevrolet S-10 LS RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I have a 99 s10 2.2 manual. The issue is
it will lose power but only to the engine don't
think it's fuel related due to new tank and
pump and filter. Now when it is running it
runs great but it will like cut out and it don't
seem to be a misfire hooked it up to a
scanner and it is hitting on all 4 now the
scanner through a code for a knock sensor
and stuffy cat. But there is no noise in the
motor that is unusual for it's its age no
knocking or anything like that. Now I was
driving to work and it cut off and didn't start
for two days then started up fine but I need it
to be reliable to get to work any type of
known problems that cause this would be
helpful
