On my S10 I had to pull the transmission pan to put a new gasket on it but the brackets at holding the wires to shift the bolts are not going back into the exact same holds that they came from I can't

I had to take off the bracket that holds the steering
column shifter so when I put the bracket back on
that holds had cable it won't go back onto the
shifter it's out of place it doesn't something is
wrong and I don't know what it is
