1996 chevy s10 fuel issue

Asked by alex Apr 04, 2018 at 10:46 AM about the 1996 Chevrolet S-10 LS LB RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1996 Chevrolet s10 2.2L and when I try to start it,
i have to pump the gas several times before it starts up.
Sometimes it will start right up. No codes. Only once has
it left small puddle of gas on the ground.

check for proper fuel pressure , test/replace tps , you're not pumping anything there''s no carburetor , what do the plugs look like ?

One or more fuel injectors are leaking or fuel pressure regulator is leaking or both are leaking.
