right rear turn and brake light not working

right rear turn and brake light not working. Changed bulb, all other turn and
hazzards working. Ran a ground directly to black ground at light. Still didnt
work. I need help

Maybe the socket has a problem, not making good contact with the bulb and needs to be replaced. A test light is better, at least that is what I use.

I used a test light and a volt meter. I have 0- volts at the light socket with the turn signal on. I tested the other side and was getting 11.9 volts of and on when blinker was activated.

Check the wire harness, maybe a wire is corroded not allowing power to reach the socket.
