Asked by Fixmys10 Apr 11, 2017 at 07:55 PM about the 1996 Chevrolet S-10 RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Replaced my 96 S-10 motor 2.2ltr with one out of a
99. The ecu out of the 99 only has 2 wires ( auto
trans.) the 96 has 3 wires ( standard trans.) I
believe this is the only problem with my swap.
What can I do to rectify this problem? Please help!
Thanks!

If this is the same engine, your old ecu should work if everything is the same hook ups on the engine.
