when I drive for 15 minutes, touch the brakes, the abs light comes on, the speedometer goes to 0, it acts like it won't shift. It will, if run it up to 3000rpm.

Something is shorting out. Look around under the dash around the brake pedal for anything in the path of the pedal travel

We will check that out . Thanks.We thought it might have something to do with the sensor in the transfer case..your thoughts?
