Engine change

Asked by Apr 15, 2017 at 04:18 PM about the 1994 Chevrolet S-10 2 Dr LS Standard Cab LB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I want to put a 3.6 v6 mother from a 2006 buick
lucerne into a 1994 s10 that had a 2.2 litre in it.
Would it be too hard for a shade tree mechanic

u need a 2.8L chassis parts and change the firing order plus the 3.8 L computer plus the x-mission. a lot to do but if u have time to build a truck... ok.

actually, it might need a 4th gen camaro's firing order & computer too (ecm) since rear wheel drive..

Jason, you have answered my question. Buy a replacement 2.2 and be happy.
