I am unable to put gas in my 2001 Chevy Blazer. Any thoughts?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When fueling, it trickles in at best.  The last time I tried to fuel up, I could only put less
than a gallon in.  The gas keeps overflowing.  There is also an unusually intense pressure
release when I remove the gas cap.  What could this be and can I fix it at home?

EVAP tube vent plugged, or charcoal canister has liquid gas from not being purged...or some fault with EVAP. When you fill up, it displaces air and fumes, and that goes in to the EVAP system instead on in your face and the air. Here is an example, click to size up
