1991 s10 p/u dies when warm, can't restart until it cools

My 1991 chevy s10 dies shortly after reaching normal operating temperature.

I had initially not made the temperature connection, so replaced the fuel pump the going
it may be going out.

So far I have verified spark at the coil, when in the hot (no start) condition, and looking
into the throttle body I see the injectors pulsing out fuel. I think the pulse means the
computer thinks the motor is flooded?

I've also noticed that when cold (as in freezing) I need to give it a little gas or it will not
idle until the motorwarms up a bit. Once it gets past this point, it idles nice and smooth
until reaching normal operating temp.

I'm guessing one of the sensors or controls is misbehaving when it warms up, but I'm
having trouble guessing which one

jump pins a and b with a wire and read codes on dash. they give the jumper tool away at autozone

Make sure the coolant temp sensor for the computer is good. Also check the ign control module in the distributor. If you take it out and take it to a parts store they can test it

It was indeed the coolant temp sensor for the computer, I had overlooked the fact that the temp gauge is driven off a different sensor than the computer for this engine so had assumed the temp sensor was good. Thanks.

Had the same problem but mine WAS the ignition control module.

I had a similar problem with my 1996 S10. I would drive 12 to 15 minutes and the engine would die like clock work. It would happen when it fully warmed up. I would wait 15 minutes and it would start and run fine. I replaced the fuel pump and crank shaft sensor on two different occasions but still had the problem. It was driving me crazy. I finally installed a new cam sensor and no long have the problem. By the way, I have a 2.2 four cylinder. I hope this helps anyone with the same issue so you done pay too much.
