Truck cut off while driving

Asked by Guru7SBT1 Jun 11, 2020 at 09:40 PM about the 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer LS 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My uncle left the car light on all nite and we
had to give it a jump so the car was running
fine for about an hour but when we drove it
again it cut off while driving

Load test battery. If battery is too low it will put a strain on alternator possibly ruining the alternator. Alternator is not meant to bring a battery back from more than about 1 or 1.5 volts. Alternator is a top off instrument. Could have dead cells in battery due to discharge.
