my headlights dim and so does the dashboard lights could this be the alternator and it so
could it affect the fan

Yes and yes. If it has electric fans that is, not sure on that car

If alternator and battery tested good I would double check all battery connections make sure they are clean and tight. Also pay special attention where the negative battery cable connects to the frame and motor of the vehicle. If this connection is dirty or loose it could possibly cause these sorts of issues.
