I am having problems with my Ford F250 super duty. I understand there is a contact problem but was wondering where the electricity goes after it leaves the pedal? Also, how do I fix this (any advice)?

Hello, I have a 1999 Ford F250 super duty with a 7.3 L diesel engine; the accelerator
does not work, I have replaced the pedal sensor and it did not make any difference. I
checked it on a computer and it is not spitting out any codes. I tried with my hand just
punching the petal, doing so it makes contact but it gives out right away, when I do it
with my foot, it does not make contact. I unplugged and re-plugged the pick-ups
computer, it looks fine, it is very clean and it did not make any difference.

Basically, your Accelerator pedal has 2 potentiometers in it. All signals come from and go to the Processor. IF you have one of the more sophisticated scan tools, you can watch both potentiometers operate while pressing the accelerator, otherwise: You have a new pedal - it should be good, next, you need to check the continuity of the wiring between the processor and the pedal. If the wiring is good, the pedal is good, then it has to be the Processor.
