Shaky and no acceleration power when A/C is on

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi guys-
I have a 2006 Ford F-150, standard transmission.  About a year ago my truck
began to shake and lose power when I accelerated.  It happens more
frequently when the A/C is on.  When the A/C is going and I have the air on
cold for instance, and the shaking and acceleration power loss begins, the air
becomes warm and stops blowing cold air.  The engine light is also on.  I took
the truck to a local auto shop, but they couldn't find anything wrong.  Anyone
else ever had this problem? Thanks!

Sounds like the timing chains or could possibly have a phaser sticking but most likely its the timing chains and guides need to be replaced
