hoping thats it, working fine for now. temp gauge raises to normal temp & it took another 10-12 miles for the heat. just hoping it's not in the dash.$$$$$$. it,s got 90,600 miles on it & i don't drive 3,000 a year. got it last spring. thanks guys. always like to here another view.

Try this for determination purposes. Turn everything off them move the controls to the various settings to see if the air is switching outlets as it should. (foot area, compartment area, dash, etc.) If that is working properly check the coolant. There is a possibility the previous owner never changed the coolant. If it looks filthy clean the system. With 90+K miles I tend to believe the system may have been neglected.

if a new thermastat doesnt do it i would start investigating the door that blends outside air, it might be stuck open, i dread the under the dash stuff also, but with my luck thats where the problem would be.
