My oil pressure drops to zero anytime I drive a significant amount of miles at one time (more than 40). If I shut the car off for about 10 minutes it the pressure goes back up and everything seems fine. I just had my oil changed so I know that is not the issue. I have a 2010 suburban 1500 I had a lifter gone cold so one of the rokers came free started to knock.I did the head job and saw that the oil pressure started to drop on idol. 1 Answer
I have changed the oil switch,the oil pump,and cleaned the strainer and the presure still drops to 0 on idol.

my oil pressure stays at 40 but when pressing on the gas it floats up and down on the gage. Is this bad??? just put a tune up in it not a month ago. 10 Answers
It's a 2 wheel drive, c1500 suburban. It has done this since I bought it a little over a year ago! Hoping its Nothing but willing to get my nails dirty if it is.
