Alternator

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I put a new alternator has been tested and does work it
has a new battery and new fusible links but the alternator
still not charging the battery. Any suggestions on what this
may be?

Check the fuses, on my Chevy tho you have a Ford, on mine there is a fuse for gauges. If that one is not in, it will not charge. Otherwise probably going to have to look at the wiring, do some testing, must be a bad connection.

After check the wiring is good see if your idiot light is light on the dash. That signal comes from the PCM. You may have to have the vehicle checked with a live data analyzer to see if the PCM is at fault.
