2002 Malibu won't start. Has fuel air and spark. Please help.

Asked by Brayden Mar 31, 2017 at 08:42 PM about the 2002 Chevrolet Malibu LS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Tore it apart to replace the head gasket but when I put it
back together it didn't start. It kind of just burbles and
pops. Won't even start off of starting fluid. I have plenty of
fuel pressure and it's getting injected into the cylinder. I
also have spark I checked every plug. And I pressure
tested every cylinder and have plenty of
Compression. Also the timing chain isn't off a tooth or
stretched so it's mechanically In time. I replaced the
crankshaft sensor, the camshaft sensor, and the ignition
control module, because I thought all of these were the
cause at one point. It's a 3.1 v6 thanks for
The help.

I know you checked it ... but it really sounds like your timing is off' Pull #1 plug and check TDC ... you could be 1 revolution off
