I have a 2004 f150 lariat

Asked by Guru72XS May 20, 2017 at 08:27 PM about the 2004 Ford F-150 Lariat Ext. Cab SB 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When driving on the highway say 40 60 mph and
then I back off accelerator and coast a bit and when
I apply alittle to the accelerator to keep up speed
seems to hesitate or a small slippage of trans you
can feel it . Any ideas of what the problem could be.
Hopefully it's not the transmission I currently have
160.0000 on the truck

Hesitation and transmission issues are two different things. If you are concerned about the transmission have it serviced and inspected. Maybe your engine is due for spark plugs or needs new coil(s). Is the CEL on?

Plugs have been changed 4 months ago no check engine light on no codes present.when I apply accelerator to keep at speed a slight hesitation you can feel it
