2004 Ford F-150 5.4 liter triton motor change

I have a 2004 Ford F-150 5.4 3 valve.  I’m trying to
replace the motor in the truck. How do I know
what motors fit In the truck? I would like to get
away from the 5.4 3 valve.  Any suggestions on
what to do.

Are ther any other engines that you could put in with a mounting kit or something? My motor "5" in th e vin is terrible?
